Margie Edna Flanagan Adkins was born on July 26, 1929, in Beckville, Texas and went into the arms of the Savior on July 23, 2025.

She worked at Food Giant in Houston, Texas, Gables Restaurant and Brookshires Food Store in Marshall, Texas and was the owner of her husband's business, Cliff's Safety Glass Shop, following his death. She was a member of Clearview Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Adkins; daughter, Margie Ladell Payne; grandson, Shane Paulk; granddaughter, Valarie; father, Frank Melton Flanagan; mother, Josephine Armstrong Flanagan; step-mother, Jennie Irene Logan Flanagan; sisters, Annie Lou Flanagan Graves "Sal", Minnie Bell Flanagan, Joe Ruth Flanagan, Fairest Opal Flanagan George and brothers, Frank Junior Flanagan "Brother" and Kenneth Flanagan.

She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Sue Adkins Tress (Lynn); grandchildren, Clifford Paulk, Robert Paulk and Margie Jones; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren along with other friends and family. She also had a deep love for James and Nell Willis and Barbara Ann Willis Allen.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 28, 2025, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the chapel. Interment will follow at Colonial Gardens Cemetery.
