A graveside service for Marilyn Stegall, 60, of Marshall, Texas, will take place at 10am Friday, September 19, 2014, at the pavilion of Grange Hall Cemetery in Marshall, Texas, with Bro. Ron Segers officiating. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8pm Thursday, September 18, 2014, at Downs Funeral Home. Mrs. Stegall passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014, in Longview, Texas. Marilyn was born July 2, 1954, in Ainsworth, Nebraska to Sterling Wales and Dorothia Fry Wales. She lived in Marshall for the past 21 years. She spent 12 of those 21 years working for Walmart Bakery and Lawn & Garden departments. Marilyn enjoyed many outdoor activities including camping, fishing, gardening and taking care of her pets. She also enjoyed crochet and collecting frogs. But what Marilyn enjoyed most was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Surviving Mrs. Stegall are her husband of 20 years Chuck; sons Jesse Kopejtka and Dustin Stegall both of Marshall; 3 grandchildren Gracie Kopejtka, Gage Kopejtka and Rose Mosely; siblings Gordon Wales of Nebraska, Doug Wales of Iowa, Roger Wales of Georgia, Francis Wales and spouse Katherine of Marshall. Mrs. Stegall was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
