In loving memory of Maria Elisabet (Weber) Walling, known as Marlys by family and friends.

Passed away to be with Jesus on Wednesday, Auguust 7, 2024, at 8:18 pm in her home in Marshall.

Born on January 30,1926, to the late Franz and Maria Weber in Luzern, Switzerland. Loving wife of Theodore Walling. Marlys and her husband lived in Detroit, Michigan for 64 years. After the passing of her husband, she moved to Marshall, Texas to be with her daughter and son-in-law.

Survived by her sister, Margarit Kamber of Luzern, Switzerland.

Caring mother of son, Ted who was deceased and wife Patti, Daughter Heidi and son in law Joe Hoyer and son Paul and wife Mary.

Grandmother of Brandon & Joshua Walling, Nicholas Walling and Elizabeth Hoyer.

Marlys was a wonderful loving person who always was kind and friendly, wanting to help others with a meal, smile or kind word. She was very artistic and talented, loved playing the piano and her husband sang and keeping her home planted with beautiful flowers. She knew four different languages. Marlys accepted Jesus as her Lord and savior in 1981 and followed Him the rest of her life.
