Visitation for Martha Moore Wood is set for 1 o'clock Friday December 26th at Downs Funeral Home in Marshall TX with services set for immediately following at 2 o'clock. Interment services will be at Andrews Cemetery in Karnack TX. Martha Moore Wood has gone to be with her beloved father, mother and only sister in heaven. Martha was born August 3, 1933 in Karnack TX and passed on December 23, 2014 in Bossier City, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents Wyatt and Ona Belle Moore and her sister Gloria Clark. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her daughter, Nona Morgan and husband Mark Morgan; son, Tony Mathis and wife Kathy Mathis; four granddaughters, Lauren Morgan, Julie Ann Marie Morgan, Megan Davis and Brittani Mathis; one grandson, Trevor Jacobus; and two great-grandsons, Ryder and Roman. Her family was her pride and joy and she was so loved by her family and friends. Throughout her life, Martha remained in contact with many of her childhood friends from Karnack, friends from Longhorn Ammunitions plant, Watson Oil and her beloved organ club. She was member of the Marshall Organ Club and loved to play her organ for all who had a love for the music. "Mimmie", as known to her family, lived a wonderful life full of joy and excitement. Nothing made her happier in life than to be with her father, Wyatt Moore, in the outdoors and on the great Caddo Lake. She was a very versatile woman, full of love, of living life and always an upbeat person who could bring a smile to anyone's face with her wit and charm. This is one great woman that will be missed here on earth, but we know she is all smiles in heaven today.
