Marty Shane McCann Funeral services for Marty Shane McCann, 39, of Marshall will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 21, 2013 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bob Bryant officiating. There will be a visitation from 6-8 p.m., Monday, May 20th at the Downs Funeral Home. Mr. McCann passed away on May 17, 2013. Marty Shane McCann was born in Marshall, Texas on November 23, 1973. He was the son of Sue Janet Wilson and Tommy Ray McCann. He attended Marshall Public Schools. He worked as a welder. He is survived by his mother Jan Wilson of Marshall; father Tommy Ray McCann of Jefferson; brothers, Raymond Kelly Bice III of Marshall, Tyler Scott Wilson and wife Patricia of Marshall, and Timmy McCann of Jefferson; sister, Ericka McCann and Kristie of Ft.Worth; nieces and nephews, Eric Whitis of Marshall; McKinley Bice of Bowling Green KY, Madison Wilson of Marshall, Bryer Bice of Bowling Green KY, Zachary Wilson and Mason Wilson of Marshall. Also surviving Mr. McCann are his aunts Lynda Fields & husband Cliff, and Pat Terry & husband Gene, and uncles Levvy Carriker and Tony McCann & wife Kay. He was preceded in death by his uncle Sam Carriker, grandparents Frances Carriker, Samuel Carriker, and Troy & Opal McCann. Pallbearers will be Tyler Wilson, Eric Whitis, DeRay Cook, Cliff Fields, Tim McCann, and Shon Dickson. Honorary Pallbearer will be Raymond Kelly Bice III.
