Graveside services for Mary Agnes Smith, 94, of Marshall will be held at Algoma Cemetery South at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 13, 2017 with the Rev. Dale Hunt officiating. Mrs. Smith passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017, at Heritage House nursing home after an extended illness.

She was born October 2, 1923, in Meadville, MS, to William Dallis Hunt and Mary Corban Hunt. Mrs. Smith married William Arvil Smith on April 1, 1944, in Marshall. They had two sons Dallis (Dal) and Jerry Smith.   They had a florist shop and later a nursery, The Pines Garden Center, and were in business for over 50 years in Marshall.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dal and Susanne Smith; two granddaughters, Maria Josephine Boney of Overton, and Nikki Smith; sisters, Doris Porter, Beverly Bilbo, and Pat Hunt; and two brothers, Wayne Hunt and Dale Hunt.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, William Arvil Smith; a son, Jerry Smith; sister, Laverne Hunt Wilkinson; and brothers, Rayford Hunt, Jimmy Hunt, and Walter Hunt.
