Graveside services for Mary Braudaway, 95, of Marshall, TX, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Andrews Cemetery in Karnack, TX with her grandson, Bro. Malcolm Neal Braudaway officiating. Interment will follow. A time of visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Downs Funeral Home. Mrs. Braudaway passed away August 20, 2015 in Marshall. Mary Jane Bison Braudaway was born January 7, 1920 in Vivian, LA to Joseph Bison and Gertrude Longoria Bison. She was a member of Clearview Baptist Church. Mrs. Braudaway was employed by Blue Buckle for 25 years, and then went to work for Marshall ISD at the high school cafeteria. She retired in 1993. Mrs. Braudaway was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and she loved to fish and play bingo. She loved her "country living" with gardening and farm animals. Surviving Mrs. Braudaway are her children, Nancy Simpson and husband Bill, Ricky Braudaway; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Malcolm Travis Braudaway; son, Malcolm C. Braudaway; grandson, Jeffrey B. Stevenson; 4 sisters; and 7 brothers.
