Graveside services for Mary Allena Scott Byrd, 89 of Marshall will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in Forest Park West Cemetery in Shreveport, Louisiana under the direction of Downs Funeral Home with Father John Himes officiating. Mrs. Byrd passed away January 3, 2015 in Marshall. Mary Allena Byrd was born August 25, 1925 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Sam T. Scott and Lois Fain Scott. She later married Ray Hampton Byrd who preceded her in death. Surviving Mary Allena are daughter, Beverly Byrd Smith and husband Robert; granddaughter, Darinda Dans Rainer and husband Michael and great-grandson, Gavin Scott Rainer. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one son, Garland Scott Whitis.
