A graveside service for Mary Virginia "Ginny" Pollock, 69, of Marshall, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Downs Funeral Home.

Ginny was born on November 16, 1955, in Longview, Texas to Wallace Thomas and Miriam Hull Thomas and passed away on February 14, 2025, in Marshall, Texas.

She married James Edward Pollock on July 31, 1981, in New Diana, Texas and the two remained married until his passing in 2021. She was employed at Harrison County in the Indigent Care Health Department for a number of years. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. She was a past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #356. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and taking cruises with her sister, Joy. She loved her dog, Honey and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Miriam Thomas; her husband, James Pollock and her two sisters, Joy and Sue.

She is survived by children, Joe Pollock and "Bess" Elizabeth Pollock; brother, Bill Thomas and grandchildren, Tabitha Pollock, Gabriel Pollock and Samuel Popham along with other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in her honor to the Shriners Children's Hospital.
