A funeral service for Mary Lou White, 92, of Marshall, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Crossroads Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Colonial Gardens Cemetery. A time for visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at the funeral home.

Mary was born on July 29, 1930, in Seminole, Oklahoma to Robert Wesley Stallings and Fannie Lilly Jones Stallings and passed away on December 10, 2022, in Jefferson, Texas.

She married Arthur Wayne White, Sr. on May 30, 1948, in Odessa, Texas and the two remained married until his passing on October 12, 1984. She started playing the piano at the age of 7 years old. Music was a huge part of her life, and she loved sharing it with other people through serving in church, teaching piano lessons and singing in the lady's trio. She loved spending time with her family and working in her yard in her flower beds. She was employed at Marshall Pottery for many years before retirement. She always enjoyed using her talents for the Lord. She taught Sunday School and coordinated the Senior Adult Program for many years. She loved crocheting, sewing and made beautiful dresses for her daughters as well as the public. Her greatest passion was serving the Lord through music and her family. In her later years she enjoyed playing cards and dominoes with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was known as Momma Lou to her grandchildren and others that grew to love her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Fannie Stallings; husband, Arthur Wayne White, Sr.; brothers, Harold Stallings, Frankie Stallings, Johnny Clarence Stallings, Bobby Stallings, Jerry Stallings and Donald Stallings; sister-in-laws, Johnnie Bates Stallings, Wanda Duncan Stallings and Dale Stallings and grandson, Evan Blake Alexander.

She is survived by her children, Arthur Wayne White, Jr., Shay Persinger and husband, Richard, Anita Shipwash and husband, James; daughter-in-law, Glynda White; son-in-law, Tim Alexander and selected daughter, Sharon Manley; grandchildren, Tracie Daily and husband, Dan, Daffnee White, Meagan Morse and husband, Mike, Jonathon White, David White and Eric Shipwash; great grandchildren, Ryan Oney, Haley Haile, MaryMichael Morse, Matthew Morse and Morgan Morse; great great grandchildren, Arlo Haile, Madden Haile, Ledger Haile, Raelynn, Oney, Whitley Oney and Harper Oney; her faithful companion, Simone "The Kitty Kat" along with a number of nieces, nephews and numerous other family and friends.
