Funeral service for Mary Dollahite Pond, 73, of Waskom will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Greenwood, LA with Bro. Kerry Joiner officiating. A graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Elmira Chapel Cemetery in Spring Hill, Texas. Mrs. Pond passed away September 17, 2012 in Shreveport, LA. Mary Dollahite Pond was born December 9, 1938 in Gilmer, TX to Arthor Lee and Mamie Lorene Willeford Dollahite, Sr. Mrs. Pond attended the Spring Hill schools. She married Lloyd Olen Pond in Durant, OK on July 7, 1957. Mrs. Pond was a member of First Baptist Church of Greenwood, and the Lions Club. Mrs. Pond is survived by her husband, Lloyd Olen Pond; son, Gary Pond; daughter, Lori Pond Ware and husband Tom; grandchildren, Antay Parker and husband George, Austin Pond, Alexis Pond, Ray Rogers and wife Halley, Katie Ware, Garrett Ware, Clay Ware; great grandchild, Shawn Parker; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Dollahite, Jimmie Pond, Bobbie Crocker and husband Ken; brother-in-law, Calvin Cole; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Pond was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Charles and Arthor Lee Dollahite, Jr. Pallbearers will be Ray Rogers, Austin Pond, George Parker, Mike Crocker, Bruce Dupont and Butch Ivey.
