Mary Lizzie Holmes Rowe of Karnack Texas was born on November 11, 1952, to the late Anderson and Liller Holmes. On January 13, 2025, Mary received a light tap on her shoulder telling her that it was time to come home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

On August 10, 1970, Mary married the love of her life and childhood sweetheart of fifty four year, Robert Rowe, Jr. With this marriage, four children were born, Wilfred (Terri), LuSundra (Deltrick), Kemala and Pamela (Tracy.)

LuSundra preceded her in death along with her sisters, Irene, Bobbie and Lula; also the brothers, Roy Jene, Donald Ray and James Holmes.

Mary leaves to cherish two brothers Anderson Holmes and  Mack Holmes and; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 18, 2025, at New Boggy Baptist Church in Bethany, Texas. Interment will follow at New Boggy Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 17, 2025, at Downs Funeral Home.
