Mary "Ginger" Woods was born on September 9, 1947, to John Lloyd Sullivan and Mary Lucile Sullivan. She was born and raised in Marshall, Texas. She went home to be with the Lord on July 1, 2025.

In her earlier years, she loved cooking, gardening, and collecting anything Coca-Cola. One of her favorite TV series was NCIS. If you came to visit, you more than likely came prepared to stay for a while, because she loved to tell stories. She loved people and never met a stranger.

Those left to cherish her memory are her brother; Buck Sullivan (Kathy); sons; Toby Brannan, Mitchell Woods (Jena) and Michael Woods (Kay); daughters; Schyla Slade, Crystal Downs (Marcus) and Angie Pitts (Craig); grandchildren; Nick Brannan, Taytum Morehead (Larami), Trinity Brannan, Chris Simmons (Breann), Blake Simmons (Shelby), Trent Ogle (Anna Mae), Masen Downs, Madie Childs, U.S. Sailor Garrett Slade, Justin Davis, Cheyenne Woods, Chasity Woods, Shelby Woods, James Woods, Jarrett Woods, Marissa Woods, and Dallas Woods; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews along with her special friend, Kim Cox.

She was preceded in death by her husband; James "Jimmy" Woods; parents; John Lloyd Sullivan and Mary Lucile Sullivan; brother; Mike Sullivan; sister; Ann Nash; and grandson; Zachary Bryce Torbert.

A special thank you to her nurse, Tiffany at Traditions Health Hospice and the nurses and aids at Marshall Manor West. Your kindness and care is so appreciated by the family.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 3, 2025, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. A time for visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 9:30 a.m., in the Chapel.
