Funeral services for Mary Lucile Sullivan, 94, of Marshall, TX, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 2, 2015, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Segers officiating. Interment will follow in Colonial Gardens Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m., Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Downs Funeral Home. Mrs. Sullivan passed away January 30, 2015 at Heritage House in Marshall. Mary Lucile Woods Sullivan was born August 29, 1920 in Marshall, TX, to Irvin Miller Woods and Iva Orveta Cates Woods. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, and a former longtime member of Victory Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Marshall High School. Mrs. Sullivan married Loyd Sullivan on March 19, 1938, and he preceded her in death on July 25, 1991. She had been employed at Woolworth's, Bealls, Ben Franklin, as a private sitter, and was the President of the Residents Association at Heritage House. Surviving Mrs. Sullivan are 2 daughters, Ann Nash and Ginger Woods, both of Karnack; 2 sons, Mike Sullivan and wife Debby, John "Buck" Sullivan and wife Kathy, all of Marshall; 1 sister, Wanda Watkins and husband Richard of Greenwood, LA; brothers, Howard Woods of Tyler, Billy Woods of Owensville, MO, Jimmy Woods and wife Jane of Hallsville, Huey Woods and wife Martha of Comanche, OK; 14 grandchildren, Stan Nash Jr., Robert Nash, Cindy Hayes, Angie Houseman, Sandy Smith, Marty Vaughn, Phillip Sullivan, Scott Sullivan, Toby Brannan, Schyla Slade, Crystal Ogle, Mitchell Woods, Michael Woods, Angie Thomas; a number of great grandchildren; a number of great-great grandchildren; and other extended family and friends. Preceding Mrs. Sullivan in death were her parents; her husband; grandson, John Mark Sullivan; great grandson, Bryce Torbert; her brothers and sisters; and sons-in-law, Gene Nash and Jimmy Woods.
