Mason Robert Goldsby Sr. was born October 20, 1934 in Harmon, Louisiana to Clyde H. Goldsby and Faye E. Mason Goldsby. After high school, he attended Louisiana Tech and later became a Petroleum Engineer. He retired from Hunt Oil Company.  On October 4, 1986 he married Sandre Forsythe in Shreveport, Louisiana. Mason served his country in the United States Army as a Master Sargent. He was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church as well as a past Master of Greenwood Masonic Lodge # 409, and was a past member of Scottish Rite and Shriner El Karubah.

Surviving Mason are his wife, Sandre Goldsby of Marshall; son, Mason R. Goldsby Jr. of North Dakota; step-son, Bob Goulden of Gatesville, TX and granddaughter, Ryleigh Goulden of Gatesville, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Faye Goldsby; daughter, Mitzi Ann Goldsby White; brother, Clyde Thomas (Tony) Goldsby and sister, Betty Lynn Collins

The family requests memorials are made to the Scottish Rite or the Shriners Hospital for crippled children.

A private service will be held. Mr. Goldsby passed away Monday, November 23, 2015 in Louisiana.
