Obituary

Maureen Ann Warfield – August 23 – October 18, 2025

Maureen Ann Warfield (Teague)
Beloved Mother, Wife, Nurse, and Friend

Maureen Warfield (Teague) passed away peacefully October 18, 2025 surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of strength, love, and quiet determination.

Born in Nuneaton, England, to Alma and Samuel Teague, Maureen made her first journey across the Atlantic as a baby, arriving in the United States with her mother aboard the Queen Mary. Though she grew up in Texas, Maureen remained deeply proud of her British roots and dual citizenship throughout her life.

She spent her childhood on a small family farm in Winnsboro, Texas, alongside her two brothers, Walter and James, and her two sisters, Sue and Teresa. After graduating from high school, Maureen bravely set out on her own to build a life marked by perseverance, hard work, and compassion.

She became a devoted mother to her daughter Janise. Despite the challenges of single motherhood, Maureen worked tirelessly to build a better future. She put herself through nursing school, earning her license as a vocational nurse (LVN), and began her career at Marshall Memorial Hospital.

There, she met the love of her life, Richard Warfield. They married and soon after welcomed their son Jason. The family eventually relocated to South Texas, where Maureen continued her healthcare journey, working as a certified pharmacy technician.

When changes in the oil field industry brought the family back to East Texas, she returned to her true calling working in the Pharmacy at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Marshall.  In 2016, Maureen was honored with the Service Excellence Chairman's Award, recognizing her outstanding service, dedication, and the deep care she gave to patients and colleagues alike. Following decades of tireless work in the medical field, she retired from Good Shepherd Medical Center, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and heartfelt service.

Beyond her professional achievements, Maureen was a dreamer and a doer. She worked hard, saved diligently, and made her travel dreams come true for herself and her family. Her adventurous spirit took her across the globe and the country:

She returned to her roots in England, visited the White Cliffs of Dover, and explored France and Scotland. She soaked in the beauty of Hawaii, hiking Hickam Hill to take in the waterfalls, and experienced paradise in Bora Bora, Fiji. She stood in awe of the Ark Encounter in Kentucky, walked across the bridge from Texas to Mexico, and cruised the open seas.

She experienced the magic of Disney World in Florida, the misty beauty of the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, and spent Christmas surrounded by snow in Durango, Colorado, where she drove a snowmobile to the top of a mountain. She camped in Arkansas, sailed off the coast of Rockport, Maine, and explored the bright lights of Las Vegas.  In New Mexico, she made sure her son Jason had the opportunity to attend space camp—always encouraging his dreams, just as she followed her own. She even made time for cherished girls' trips to Rockport, Texas.

Each adventure was filled with laughter, love, and the kind of moments that become lifelong memories.

Maureen will be remembered for her unwavering strength, her generous heart, and her adventurous spirit. She showed everyone around her how to live fully—with courage, kindness, and curiosity—and to never stop chasing your dreams.

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Warfield; her children, Jason Warfield and Janise Conklin; her son-in-law, Jeff Conklin; her brothers, Walter Teague and James Teague; and a host of nieces and nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Maureen's story is one of love, resilience, overcoming adversity, and a passion for life well lived. Her legacy continues in the hearts of all who knew her, and in the memories she so beautifully created.
