A memorial service for Maxine Briggs Bryce, 83, of Jonesville, TX, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Waskom with Bro. Eric Peyton officiating. Mrs. Bryce passed away December 18, 2014 in Shreveport, LA. Maxine Briggs Bryce was born February 6, 1931, to Leonard Raymond and Anna Mae Bell Briggs. Maxine married Larry Howard Bryce on December 11, 1946, and they were married for 68 years. She was a member of Waskom Study Club, Waskom Quilt Guild, Jonesville Sassy Ladies, Red Hat Club and the Zonta Society. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Waskom. Maxine enjoyed ceramics, scrap-booking and card making. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and a one-of-a-kind mother-in-law. Surviving Maxine are her husband, Larry Howard Bryce; children, Len Bryce and wife Lee Ann, Sherry Helmer and husband Ronnie, Ken Bryce, Lisa Bryce & Landy Moran; siblings, Katherine Imes of Springdale, AR, Evelyn Arnold of Appamattox, VA, Norman Briggs and wife Joann of Katy, TX, Billy Ray Witcher and wife Karen of Ft. Worth, TX and Mary Alice Granata and husband Tommy of Tonti Town, AR; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Preceding Maxine in death were her parents, Leonard and Marie Briggs; 3 brothers, Jackie Briggs, Donald Gene Briggs, Buster Briggs; and a sister, Addaline Witcher.
