A visitation for M.D. Flanagan, Jr., 71, of Marshall, Texas will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, January 8, 2023, at Downs Funeral Home.

M.D. was born on June 24, 1951, in Marshall, Texas to M.D. Flanagan, Sr. and Doris Slater and passed away on January 6, 2023, in Longview, Texas.

He was employed by Kinder-Morgan for 20 years. Prior to Kinder-Morgan he worked at the power plant for a number of years. He loved fishing and was a volunteer at Lake O' The Pines as a host at Brushy Creek. He enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest.

He is preceded in death by his father, M.D. Flanagan, Sr. and son, John Nelson Flanagan.

He is survived by his mother, Doris Flanagan; wife, Pat Flanagan; children, Christie Phillips and husband, John Paul, Stacy Flanagan and Trey Dwight Mays III and wife, Sarah; sisters, Patricia Ridgeway Flanagan and husband, Donnie and Malisia McNeill and husband, Garry; brother, David Flanagan and wife, Carmen; grandchildren, Gavin Flanagan, Makenzie Hollis, Lorkin Murry, Lane Murry, James Neal Mays and wife, Sydney; a great grandchild coming soon, Katerina Nicole; nephews, Paul Ridgeway and wife, Kim, Allen Lovelace and wife, Sarah and Marshall Flanagan; nieces, April Hamblen Byassee, Lisa McLaughlin and husband, Rafe and Marla Coleman along with other family and friends.
