Funeral services for Melissa Carol Booth Brown, 41, of Marshall will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday October 16, 2010 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. Dick Sawyer officiating. Interment will follow at Yates Memorial Cemetery in Scottsville. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday October 15, 2010 at the funeral home. Mrs. Brown passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2010 in Marshall. Melissa Carol Booth Brown was born May 29, 1969 the daughter of William Booth and Joyce Sherrod Booth. On October 16, 1992, she married Charles (Bubba) Brown. She attended Second Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Surviving Melissa are her husband, Charles (Bubba) Brown: two sons, Daniel W. Brown and Brandon C. Brown; one daughter, Brandi Brown; parents, William and Joyce Booth and one brother, Jimmy Wayne Booth, all of Marshall; mother-in-law, Charlotte Courtney, of Jefferson; three sisters-in-law, Christi Gibbs and husband Scotty, of Hallsville, Jennifer McQueen and husband Luke, of Woodlawn and Tessa Leffler, of Marshall and numerous relatives, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Serving as pallbearers are Daniel Brown, Brandon Brown, Jeff Lopez, Hunter Harper, Bryan Booth and Jesse Collier.
