Michael "Mike" Danny Elliott, Sr., passed away peacefully at home on February 17, 2025. A visitation will be held Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Downs Funeral Home. Following Mike's wishes, he will be cremated and will be returned to loved ones.

Mike, 78, of Marshall, Texas, was born November 30, 1946, to Jason Carol Elliott and Eulene Blanche Cable Elliott. Mike and Vicky Carter Elliott were united in marriage June 24, 1988.

He loved spending time with family, being on the lake or at the ocean, viewing and driving classic cars, and collecting coins.

Mike is survived by his wife, Vicky of 36 years; son, Michael "Danny" Elliott, Jr. and wife, Stephanie; daughters, Amanda Hukill and husband Jason, Amy Bumgarner and husband Joe; grandchildren Dalton Durham, Lauren Hukill, Jacob Hukill, and Chloe Bumgarner; Brothers-in-law and spouses Don Carter and Betty Nash, David Carter and Cathy, Jerry Carter and Jan; Sister-in-law Cathy Carter and spouse Wiliam; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by parents, Jason and Eulene; Mother-in-Law, Lucille "Ninny" Smith Carter and spouse Fred; sisters and spouses, Carol Elliott Campbell and Lewis, Yolanda "Landy" Elliott Robbins and Blaine; sister-in-law and spouse, Linda Jo Carter Woodley and Larry.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to The American Cancer Society.
