Michael Kent Risk passed away April 23, 2019 in Marshall, Texas. A memorial service will be held at Revive Church at Longview Mall at 10:00 A.M. Saturday April 27, 2019.

Michael Kent Risk was born August 13, 1958 in Kokomo, Indiana to Paul Risk and Pat Risk. Michael married Nancy Carol Parsons in 1985 in Indiana. Mr. Risk retired from General Motors in 2012, as a Preventive Pre. Machinist Tech, and had been employed there since 1985. He was on the board of directors for Talley Water, and was president of the Virago Owners Club. Michael was Pack Master of Boy Scouts and led a group of young men through their Eagle Award. Mr. Risk was also a member of Master Gardeners of Marshall.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Pat Risk, one brother, and one sister.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Risk of Marshall, Texas, daughter Amanda Miller of Hallsville, Texas, son Isaac Risk of Longville, Texas, daughter Shannon Fortune and son in law Jeff Fortune of Knoxville, Tennessee. Also surviving Mr. Risk are his grandchildren, Reid Price, Bryce Fortune, Amyah Fortune, Jasmine Griffey, and Jordan Griffey.
