Mildred W. Castell Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred W. Castell, 81, of Marshall will be held at 10 am, Saturday, October 8, 2011 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with officiating. Burial will follow in Yates Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., on Friday, October 7, 2011 at the Downs Funeral Home. Mrs. Castell passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2011, in Marshall, Texas. Mildred Evelyn Castell was born in Dierks, Arkansas to Kelsy Wynn and Mattie Westbrook Wynn on October 5, 1929. She married Harvey Castell on January 22, 1948 in Dierks, Arkansas. She worked in the banking industry for over fifty years, retiring as the Assistant Vice President of Banc Corp South. She worked for First National Bank of Marshall for over forty years. She was a member of Sunset Missionary Baptist Church and a charter member of the Marshall Pilot Club. Survivors for Mrs. Castell are her husband of sixty-three years, Harvey Castell of Marshall; daughter, Maryland Anderson of Marshall; granddaughter, Melonie Mays of Marshall; grandson, Scott Anderson of Harleton; great grandchildren, Nicholas Talley of Marshall, Miranda Anderson of Marshall, Hunter Anderson of Gladewater, and Mackenzy Anderson of Jefferson. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her two sisters Imogene Reed and Doris Wynn of Dierks, Arkansas.
