Minnie Lee Cole Price, age 83, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, in Stafford, Texas. She passed away peacefully in her sleep.

She was born on February 5, 1933 to Katie and General Cole in Longview, Texas. She lived much of her life in Longview and Marshall Texas. Mrs. Price loved working as a nurse with the elderly at Merritt Plaza Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Marshall, until retirement. After retiring, she moved to Missouri City, Texas to live closer to relatives.

Minnie was a loyal member of New Bethel Baptist Church and a faithful member of The Grand Court Order of Calanthe. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to garden, cook, read, travel and enjoy time with family. Minnie loved to laugh and had a lively sense of humor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Price; all her siblings, her only son, John L. Price and former spouse Jeffrey Hawk. She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn, and her husband Nathan Dennis. Mrs. Price is survived by two grandchildren, 5 greatgrandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday December 10, 2016 at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, in Marshall, TX. Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Downs Funeral Home in Marshall from 6pm to 8 pm on Friday, December 9, 2016.
