A memorial service for Mona Collins, 62 of Marshall will be held at 10am Thursday, March 10, 2016 at First United Methodist Church of Marshall.

Mona Collins, 63, a lifelong resident of Marshall passed away March 5, 2016 at her residence in Marshall. She was born July 30, 1952 in Marshall, Texas to Mary Walsh and George Vincent Amonette.

Mona married Herbert Ronald Collins on October 16, 1972 in Marshall, Texas. She was a graduate of Marshall High School.  Mona worked as a bookkeeper in retail.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church.  She loved the beach, hummingbirds, spending time with her two grandchildren, and watching any kind of sports her sons were involved in.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ron Collins; son, Scotty Collins and his wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Kara Collins, and Cayden Collins; and numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Amonette, and son, Michael Collins.
