Mura Nachman Smith Funeral services for Mrs. Mura Nachman Smith, 64, of Marshall will be held Wednesday, February 6, 2013 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday February 5, 2013 at the funeral home. Mrs. Smith passed away January 31, 2013 at her home. Mura Nachman Smith was born July 11, 1948 in Palos Hills, IL, the daughter of Albert August Neniskis and Janett Isabelle Needy Neniskis. She was an LVN, having worked for Colonial Park Nursing Home in the 70's. She later worked for GSMC in Marshall for 29 years and Marshall Manor West for 2 years. Mura was a member at Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints and Westside Church of Christ. Surviving Mura are her husband, Ray Smith of Marshall, formerly of New Orleans; sons, Lawrence (Larry) D. Nachman of Marshall and Travis J. Nachman of Oak Forest, IL; daughter, Paula A. Saweikis of Longview; grandsons, Scott Saweikis, Jr. and Dylan Saweikis and adopted mother, Ruby Payne of Marshall.
