Myrtle Beatrice York Morgan was lovingly chosen by James and Polly Shannon York to be their one and only daughter.  She joined their family and became little sister to big brother, Frank Clarence James Randolph Osceola York.  She grew up in Marshall, Texas and joined the Ebenezer Baptist Church at the age of 12.  She graduated from Central High School in 1940.  After graduation, she traveled to Los Angeles, California where she worked in an airplane  factory during the war.  Later she met and married  Lester Morgan in 1944.  To this union, seven children were born.

After a few years of being a military wife, she relocated to Marshall, Texas, where she raised her family and reunited with her childhood church.  She was an active member until her health began to fail.  Sis. Morgan served in several capacities at her beloved church, including Primary Sunday School teacher and Mission President.  She loved  listening to her "spirituals" on the radio and talking on the phone to family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years.  She leaves to celebrate memories, seven children: Brenda Roberson (Homer *deceased) ~ Houston, TX; James Morgan (Ann) ~Royse City, TX; Barbara Punch (Andre) ~Dallas, TX, Myra Wilson  (Mark) ~Cedar Hill, TX; Linda Jones  (Gary) ~Mesquitem TX; Anthony Morgan ~Marshall, TX; Kenneth Morgan (Spring) ~Marshall, TX.  There are also 8 grandchildren (Sean, Amber, Andrea, Monica, Brian, Justin, Jonathan and Michael ) and 7 precious great grandchildren (Jasmine, Kennedy, Jaksyn, Naylah, Rhyelle, Andrew and Cade).
