Nancy Ann Ellis, 87, passed away on April 5, 2024, in Longview, Texas. She was born to John Drue (J.D.) Cook and Mildred (Coleman) Cook on February 18, 1937, in Marshall, Texas. After graduating from college, she married Wesley Galen Ellis, Sr. in 1958; and the two remained married until her passing.

Nancy enjoyed her many pets and playing tennis with her friends. She was a teacher at David Crockett Elementary for 10 years, and she was an employee of Marshall Pottery's Old World Store.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, J.D. and Midred Cook. She is survived by her husband, Wesley Ellis, Sr.; children, Eve Ellis, Galen Ellis, and Ann Shigley; four grandchildren, Lacy Vaughan, Robyn Minatrea, Michael Shigley, and Aiden Shigley; and eight great grandchildren along with other family and friends.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Christus Good Shepherd in Longview.
