Nathan "Nate" Washington was born August 12, 1948, to the late Nathan Washington and Vivian I. Pollard in sunny San Diego, California and passed away on December 18, 2022, in Arlington, Texas.

Nate moved to Texas in his twenties where we would retire from Fort Worth's city transit "the T" after 30 years of service and countless friendships.

He is survived by his three sons Niji (Sarita) Washington of Katy, Texas, Marqus (Brandi) Williams of Arlington, Texas, Tristan Washington of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Tachakka Boykins of Killeen, Texas; one sister, Antoinette Washington of Hawthorne, California along with a host of nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Mt. Zion Spiritual Church #2 in Marshall, Texas. Interment will follow at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Jefferson, Texas. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Church.
