Funeral services for Nelerine "Dot" Moore-May, 90, of Desoto will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 21, 2015 at Southside Church of Christ in Marshall, Texas. A time of visitation will be from 12-1 p.m. preceding the service.  Burial will be at Oakhill Cemetery in Marshall under the direction of Downs Funeral Home.

Nelerine "Dot" was born January 10, 1925 in Marshall, Texas to Ernest Moore and Birdie Coats Moore.   She was married to Dave May, Sr. who preceded her in death.  She passed from this life and went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 16, 2015 in Desoto, Texas.  She was born and raised in Marshall, Texas, where she attended Marshall Public Schools.  She moved to Desoto, Texas thirteen years ago, where she was a member of Cliff View Church of Christ.  Dot loved gardening, canning and fishing.

She leaves behind her children, James (Brenda) May, Cleo (Velma) May, Rozella (Jack) Jones, and Florene May; grandchildren, Teresa D. Thomas, Yolanda Phillips, Veronique Skinner, Vasha May, Jamie McCall, Krystal May, Kasey May, Christopher May, Travis May, Charlandre Jones, and Jacquelyn Bonner; brother Thomas Moore, Sr.; 19 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Dot was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 7 brothers and one sister.

Pallbearers will be Christopher May, Travis May, Cedric Conklin, Terrence Bonner, Cedric Hill, Kewon Stewart, Preston McCall, and Christopher Leonard.

Honorary Pallbearers are James May, Cleo May, Jack Jones, Thomas Moore, Ernest Moore, and Henry Johnson.
