A memorial service for Mr. Walton "Norm" Padgett will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Downs Funeral Home. Debbie Rogers will officiate the service.

Mr. Walton Norman Padgett was born on March 22, 1940 in Marshall, Texas to his parents Walton Maurice Padgett and Mary Virginia VanNorman. Mr. Padgett passed away on May 11, 2021 at his home in Marshall surrounded by his loving family. He was a lifetime resident of Marshall. Mr. Padgett loved to work and had several different jobs throughout his career. In his spare time, he enjoyed photography and collecting cameras, James Bond movies, reading, and his quiet time spent sitting on the porch drinking coffee. Mr. Padgett was highly intelligent and loved having good intellectual conversations. He was also a good listener. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Mr. Padgett is survived by his children, Crystal Epps and spouse Timothy, Danielle Johndrow and spouse Richard, Denise Fitch and spouse Dudley, Tracy (Bubba) Cooper and spouse Lila, Stacy Hill and spouse Kenneth; sister, MaryBeth Dupree; grandchildren, Jorden Epps, Jayden Epps, Kaley Tibbetts, Amanda Johndrow, Cameron Hill, Chase Tolbert, Skye Tolbert, Chloe Cooper, Darbi Hill, Kaden Fitch; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Mr. Padgett is preceded in death by his parents, Walton Maurice and Mary Virginia Padgett; loving wife, Linda Padgett; grandson, Jason Johndrow; and sister, Carol Hortman.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
