Obituary

Ofilia Margarita Bailey, age 92, of Marshall, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026.

Born in Delicias, Mexico, on October 17, 1933, to Ramon T. and Ofilia Quintero Caballero, she lived a life defined by devotion to her family and community. As the proud spouse of a twenty-year Air Force veteran, Ofilia expertly managed her household through numerous military relocations across Texas, New York, Maine, California, Nebraska, and Japan. Upon settling in Marshall, she worked as a financial service representative for First National Bank Marshall and Marshall Mill and Elevator.

Ofilia was an avid gardener and a passionate mahjong enthusiast. Generous with her time, she frequently volunteered at the Michelson Museum of Art and served as a dedicated "Pink Lady" hospital volunteer.

She is survived by her daughter, Liz Bailey Solomon (partner Mike Miller); her son, Frank M. Bailey, Jr. (wife Jamie); her grandchildren, Jonathan Young, Paige Uhr, Thomas Solomon, Sam Bailey; her great-grandchild, Hunter Young; and extended family members Barrett Horak, Brenna Brothers and other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Frank Bailey, Sr.; her parents; and her brothers, Hector, Jorge (survived by his wife, Lesvia), Alfredo and Luis Caballero (survived by his wife, Marichuy).

At Ofilia's request, no funeral services will be held.
