Patricia Lynn Burkham was born on August 13, 1950 in Dallas, Texas to J.C. and Ida Louise Hays. She passed peacefully at her residence on August 24, 2021 in Marshall, Texas at the age of 71.

She married David Rodney Burkham on December 23, 1974. She worked at Spring Hill ISD in Longview, Texas for 28 years as a custodian and bus driver. After retirement she enjoyed time with her granddaughter who was her world and also enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband, David Rodney Burkham, her daughter Cindy Burkham and granddaughter Lexi Burkham all of Marshall, Texas as well as numerous other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Vicky Sue Vaughn and brother, Robert Hays all of Mesquite, Texas.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 4, 2021 in the chapel at Downs Funeral Home in Marshall. A time for visitation with family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 3, 2021 at Downs Funeral Home.
