A funeral service for Patricia Ford Jenkins, 57, of Pooler, Georgia will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2022, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home in Marshall, Texas. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Gardens Cemetery.

She was born on September 27, 1964, to Joseph Vell Ford, Sr. and Alice Vance Ford in Marshall, Texas. She passed away on July 14, 2022, in Columbus, Georgia after a long battle with ALS.

She was a 1983 graduate of Marshall High School in Marshall, Texas. She was united in Holy matrimony to Michael Jenkins, Sr. on August 18, 1988 and to this union 2 children were born. She joined Shiloh Baptist Church in Scottsville, Texas at an early age and after moving to Georgia she became a faithful member of Conner's Temple Baptist Church, Bishop Thomas Sills in Savannah, Georgia where she served as an usher and was an active member until her health declined. She grew up to be one of the Dallas Cowboys biggest fans. She was a homemaker whose joy was caring for her husband and children. She was very caring, outgoing and full of life.

She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Vell Ford, Sr.; grandparents, Asline and Essie Vance; great grandparents, Alice and Webb Campbell; uncles Augusta Vance, Claude Wendell Vance, Sr. and Unice Vance and one aunt, Florine Love.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Michael Jenkins, Sr.; daughter, Tanisha Jenkins; son, Michael Jenkins, Jr.; grandchild, Layla Hector, all of Pooler, Georgia; a loving mother, Alice Williams; brother,  Joseph (Regina) Ford, all of Jacksonville, Florida; sisters, Sheila Forrest and Gloria Jones, both of Karnack, Texas; special cousin, Ruby Floyd; special aunts, Sheila, Sandra and Elcerrito Vance; special uncles, Albert and Acie Vance along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
