Funeral services for Patricia Ann Farmer Nichols, 70 of Marshall, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 21, 2013 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. Eric Wilburn officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery in Waskom, Texas. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at the funeral home. Mrs. Nichols passed away November 18, 2013 in Longview. Patricia Ann Farmer Nichols was born October 23, 1943 in Centerville, Mississippi to Martin Luther Farmer and Ruby Lee Offutt Farmer. On September 6, 1972 she married Ronald E. Nichols in Marshall. Patricia was a member of DeBerry Baptist Church and was very involved with both the VFW 1183 Lady's Auxiliary and the AWA. She loved to fellowship, attend first Monday, and Paquino. Surviving Patricia are her husband of 41 years, Ronald E. Nichols; sons, Charles Zane Smith Jr. and wife Carla and Martin Covey Smith and wife Alice; daughters, Christine Hope Ballenger and husband Marc and Holly Krickett Bass and husband Kevin; brother, James Farmer and wife Sara; sisters, Mary Shaver and husband Hutch and Jessie Morell and husband Joe; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Jesse Hebert McBroom; two sisters, Mary Lou Urban and Jewell Korndorffer and a brother, Joseph "Sonny" Farmer. Serving as pallbearers are Kevin Bass, Marc Ballenger, Chris Wallace, Wes Brown, Jakob Bass and Kristopher Bass.
