Funeral services for Patsy Ruth Hicks, 57 of Marshall will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the Texas Louisiana Baptist Association Building. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m.,Friday, July 18, 2014 at the funeral home. Mrs. Hicks passed away July 11, 2014 in Longview, Texas. Patsy Ruth Hicks was born October 14, 1954 in Harrison County to the parentage of the late Mr. James Hicks, Jr. and Pairlee Hicks (both preceded her in death). She was educated in the Harrison County Schools. At an early age she united with the St. Mark Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cole; four sisters, Vernell Owens, Mary Smith, Mavis Hicks and Bonnie Davis; one brother, James Hicks III and one grandson, Khimani Cole. She leaves to cherish her memory sons, Bradley Hicks, Ronald Hicks and Christopher Cole all of Marshall; one daughter, ShaRonda Hicks of Marshall; step-mother, Lubertha Hicks; brothers, Richard (Betty) Smith, Warren Smith, Chester Smith, Gary (Simone) Hicks, Danny (Annie) Fisher, Walter (Denise) Hicks Sr., and James Alford all of Marshall and David (Teresa) Hicks of Beckville; sisters, Shirley Hunter, Suzie Michelle Jones, Yvette Lee, Carline Imoh all of Marshall and Daralene Martin of Houston; grandchildren, Destinee Hicks, Faith Hicks, Shamar Hicks, J'Myia Johnson, ShaTia Hicks, Jakyron Hicks and Jaquez Hicks and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
