A graveside service for Patsy Ann Sipes, 92, of Marshall, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2024, at Colonial Gardens Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Downs Funeral Home.

Patsy was born on August 6, 1931, in Graham, Texas to William H. Shahan and Annie Beatrice Ragland Shahan and passed away on February 24, 2024, in Marshall, Texas.

She married Thomas Fulton Sipes on March 7, 1978, in Marshall, Texas and the two remained married until his passing. She lived in Marshall for over 40 years and was a member of Port Caddo Baptist Church. She retired from Southwestern Bell and AT&T after 36 years of employment. She enjoyed crafting, playing cards, reading and cooking. Most of all she loved spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William H. and Annie B. Shahan; her husband, Tony Sipes; son, Bobby Gazzola; brother, Bill Shahan and sister, Francis Boase.

She was survived by her daughter, lovingly referred to as her adopted daughter, Anita Rana and husband, Zameer; grandchildren, John Gazzola and wife, Miranda, Michael Gazzola and wife, Alisha, Savanna Ashley and Samantha Ashley; great grandchildren, Michael and Alexa; niece, Cheryl Hardin; great niece, Cindy and husband, Jimmy and great nephew, Todd and wife, Dondi along with many other great great nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
