A funeral service for Paul Harris, 73, of Woodlawn, TX will be held at 2pm Monday, November 30, 2015 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 6pm to 8pm, Sunday, November 29, 2015 at the funeral home. Mr. Harris passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015 at his home.

Paul Harris was born February 9, 1942 in Pittsburg, TX to S.W. Harris and Opal Harris. Paul proudly served his country in the United States Army. In 1956, Paul's father opened Harris Generator in Marshall. He ran the business for many years before turning over the reins to his son Paul, who successfully ran the business for more than 40 years.

Paul is survived by his son, Mark Harris of Lovelady, TX; daughter, Michelle Harris of Marshall; son, David Harris of Florida; son, Paul Harris, Jr. of Marshall; and daughter, Karen McCarty and husband, Jeremy of Marshall. Also surviving Paul are his brother, David Harris and wife, Sonja of Lake Charles, LA; eight grandchildren; and other special friends that meant so much to Paul. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one grandchild.

Paul Harris will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
