Obituary

A funeral service for Peggy Jean Francis Wilson, 83, of Hallsville, Texas will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Hallsville, Texas. A time for visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Yates Cemetery in Scottsville, Texas.

She was born on March 29, 1938, in Jonesville, Texas and passed away peacefully at home on Saturday morning, January 8, 2022, with her family by her side. Although heartbroken, we feel peace knowing that she ran faithfully and joyfully, straight into the arms of the Lord.

She lived a long and devoted life as a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will most certainly be remembered for how well she loved and served her family. She instilled beautiful values in her children and grandchildren and always reminded them to pray, show grace and have hope and peace in Jesus. Our "Nana" is so loved and will miss her greatly. We consider ourselves immensely blessed that we all experienced her love, care and kindness for as long as we did.

She is preceded in death by parents, Robert E. Lee and Mildred Lee; 4 brothers; and 2 sisters.

Peggy is survived by her loving husband, Donald Wilson; daughter and son-in-law, Denise & Terry Williams of Longview, Texas; son Gary Francis of Hallsville and daughter Debbie McCarty of Maud, Texas; granddaughter, Rayven Walker and her husband Alex Walker and their children Silas, Axel, Sienna and Ozzie of Flower Mound, Texas; grandson Grayson Williams of Dallas, Texas; step-daughter and step-son Shelly & Richard Jones of Hallsville, grandson Andrew and his wife Lauren Stroman and their children Isabela, Abel, and Aurora of Oak Point, Texas; grandson Stephen and his wife Lindsay Stroman and their children EmmaLeigh, Matthew, Maximus, and Margaret of Laird Hill, Texas; grandson Matthew Stroman of Laird Hill, Texas; granddaughter Bethanie and her husband Nash Sahms of Chicopee, Massachusetts; granddaughter Stephanie West and her children Adyn and Parker of Gilmer; step-son Kelly & Renee Wilson of Houston, Texas and their children Tatum and Tyler as well as her beloved dog, Sasha, who was always by her side.
