Services for Phillip W. Walker, 57, of Marshall are pending with Downs Funeral Home. Mr. Walker passed away March 14, 2012 in Shreveport, LA. Phillip was born October 5, 1954 in Grand Saline to Hershel Eugene, Sr. and Patricia Ruth Anderson Walker. He graduated from the American High School in Germany while he was serving in the U.S. Army as an E-4. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Phillip was employed as a pit boss at the Horseshoe Casino in Bossier City. He had formerly been a Captain with the Harrison County Sheriff's Department. Phillip is survived by his daughter, Lorrie Walker of Galveston; his son, Patrick and Taylor Walker of Laguna Niguel, CA; grandchildren, Matthew Bell, Nathan Walker, Dillon Bell, and his first granddaughter soon to be born, Brooke Taylor Walker; brothers, Gene and Phyllis Walker and Jim and Kathy Walker, all of Marshall; nieces and nephews, Stacy Walker, Trey Walker, Trish Walker and Walker Blaine Watson; the mother of his children, Kerry Walker of Galveston; and his significant other, Wandal Wright of Marshall. Phillip was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Lester Walker. The family requests memorials be made to Victory Baptist Church.
