Obituary

Priscilla May Deason Orton Franklin, known as Prissy to her close friends, passed from this life into her eternal life on March 6, 2019. She was 67 years old.

Priscilla was born on May 25, 1951 in Marshall, Texas to William "Clayton" Deason, Jr. and Carol "Imogean" Stone Deason Strong. She is preceded in death by both her parents; her sister Neva "Cozette" Deason, and a niece Christy Lynn Deason.

She was a graduate of Marshall High School with the class of 1969. As a single parent, she raised her three girls, working many different jobs, until her retirement fifteen years ago.  She was very versatile on many topics, and loved to share her knowledge.  Her passion for art and sewing were what she shared the most. Priscilla died at home with her artwork in progress on her table and her refrigerator adorned with the art work of her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Ina "Shelly"Vrooman (Kevin), Cheryl Kiser, all of Marshall, Jean "Maria" Sisemore (Chris) of San Antonio; grandchildren, Madelyn Dupree, Marissa Sisemore, Allison Gernert, Shyann Vrooman, Cobalt Kiser, Caleb Kiser, and great granddaughter, Kenzie Williams. She is also survived by her siblings, Carol Hayes, Barbara Pomeroy (James), "W. C." Deason, III (Mary Jane), and Rita of Dallas, and a very dear cousin Nita "Suggy" Griffin, Aunt Maxine Heruold, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other dear relatives, friends and former foster children.

The loss of her love and knowledge will impact those who loved her immensely, but we rejoice in the fact that she is with her heavenly Father and reunited with those who passed before her.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 11 th at 2 p.m. at Downs Funeral Home with Rev. Don Nichols presiding.  The family welcomes all who care to attend.

Donations may be made to St Judes in her memory.
