Graveside services for Raymond David "R.D." Doss, 92, of Marshall, will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Ashland Cemetery, Diana, TX. Mr. Doss passed away October 17, 2013 in Marshall. R.D. Doss was born March 16, 1921 in Linden, TX to Aaron Witt and Leola Surratt Doss. He retired after working 30 years as a track foreman for T&P, Missouri Pacific, and Union Pacific Railroads. R.D. married Marjorie Powell, and she preceded him in death. R.D. is survived by his son, Jerry Doss and wife Dianne; daughter, Nell Jones, all of Marshall; grandchildren, Stacy David Doss of San Diego, CA, Kimberly Hoover and husband Terry of Copper Canyon, TX, Stephen Jones of Longview, TX and Stephanie Jones McAlhany and husband Robert of Nashville, TN; 6 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. R.D. was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a grandchild Guinevere Doss, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
