Funeral services for Rebecca Gillespie, 52, of Hallsville, TX will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 4, 2014 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Kildare Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Downs Funeral Home. Rebecca Dawn Lollar Gillespie went home to be with the Lord on March 31, 2014. She was the youngest of 4 children born to Kenneth Wesley Lollar and Melba Jeanette Brasher. She graduated highschool from New Diana in 1979. She graduated from Kilgore College with an RN and worked at Good Sherpherd Medical Center for 20+ years as a unit clerk and nurse. Rebecca loved football and spending time with her family. She was very proud of all her children and grandchildren. She touched the hearts and lives of everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed. She is now rejoicing in Heaven with her Lord and Savior Jesus and loved ones who have preceded her in death. Rebecca is survived by her children: John Gillespie and wife Rebekah, Andrea Richards and husband Andrew, Amy and Trey Gillespie; grandchildren: John Micah Gillespie and Judson Andrew Richards; Niece Celeste Fisher and her husband Jeff and children. She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Melba Lollar, her daughter Megan Renee Gillespie, and her brother Kenneth Wayne Lollar.
