Rebecca Jordan White was born July 3, 1948 to H.D. Jordan and Tessie Lee Jones Jordan in Gilmer, Texas, and passed away April 17, 2015 in Marshall, Texas. After high school graduation, Rebecca attended Kilgore College for two years. She met and married Jimmie Mack White on March 9, 1968 in Harleton, Texas. She was a member of the Smyrna Methodist Church in Harleton. She owned and operated a Day Care Center in Harleton. Survivors are her husband of forty-seven years, Jimmie White of Marshall; children, John L. White and wife, Nancy, of Hallsville, and Tessa L. White of Marshall; brother, Willard Jordan and wife, Glenneth, of Longview; grandchildren, Jodie, Tonya, Hayden and Connor White; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Graveside funeral services for Rebecca White will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 20, 2015 at the Smyrna Cemetery in Harleton. A time of visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, April 19th at the Downs Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice in her name.
