Rezin Davidge, passed into the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, June 15, 2015 in Marshall, Texas. Funeral services for Mr. Davidge will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 18th, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Rev. Morris Brock and Rev. Chad Roberts officiating. Interment to follow in Colonial Gardens Cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm Wednesday at the Downs Funeral Home. Rezin Richard Davidge, Jr. was born August 12, 1927 in Itasca, Texas to Rezin Richard Davidge, Sr. and Thelma Smith Davidge. Mr. Davidge served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and during the Korean Conflict. He was united in marriage with Roberta Holland Davidge on May 23rd, 1985 in Marshall, TX. He was a member of the Baptist faith. Mr. Davidge owned his CPA firm and was co-owner of Mings Cleaners. He loved his family and all of their endeavors. Mr. Davidge is survived by his wife, Roberta Holland Davidge of Marshall; his 4 sons, Ron Davidge and his wife Kimberly of Houston, David Barbo of Marshall, Jackie Barbo and his wife Terri of Monroe, La, and Ronnie George and his wife Tina of Marshall; three daughters, Sharon Burkhalter and her husband Bob of Humble, TX, Brenda Rhea of Marshall and Lynn Greene and her husband Tom of Marshall; 12 grandchildren; and a number of great grandchildren. Mr. Davidge was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Martha Butler. Serving as pallbearers will be David Barbo, Jackie Barbo, Ronnie George, E.D. Rhea, Ryan George and Blake Barbo.
