Richard "Rick" Ferguson was born October 21, 1949 in Marshall, Texas to Billy Ray Ferguson and Nellie Jo Elwood Ferguson.  He passed away February 21, 2020 in Marshall.  Rick married Cindi Pinkham on March 22, 1980 in Dallas, Texas.

Rick was a member of St. Marks UMC, and was employed at General Motors for over 30 years.  He loved fishing on Lake O'Pines, especially Crappie Fishing, and really enjoyed spending time on his houseboat at Lake O'Pines (his home away from home).  His #1 love was his family and especially his grandbabies, which he loved spending time with.

Survivors are his wife of 39 years, Cindi Ferguson of Marshall; children Brian Ferguson and wife Jill of Park City, Utah, Brandon Ferguson of Tyler, and Brent Ferguson and wife Nikki of Marshall; grandchildren, Dayne Ferguson, Ryder Ferguson, Jaxon Ferguson, Maci-Grace Ferguson, and Tyler Nelson; and his brother Joel Ferguson and wife Linda of Wylie, Texas. He also leaves a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at the chapel of Downs Funeral Home with burial to follow in Cave Springs Cemetery.  Visitation for family and friends will be from 6-8 p.m., Monday, February 24th at Downs Funeral Home.
