Graveside services for Richard Paul Ray, 67, of Woodlawn will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2016 in Woodlawn Cemetery with Bro. Ron Segers officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at the funeral home. Mr. Ray passed away January 8, 2016.

Richard Paul Ray was born September 17, 1948 in Kilgore, Texas to Paul Evans Ray and Inez Elizabeth Robinson Ray. On November 17, 1996, he married Barbara Jane Arnold in Marshall. Richard served his country in both the United Sates Army and the United States Navy. He especially enjoyed his years serving in Hawaii. Richard enjoyed playing basketball in college and the Navy and loved jogging in his younger years. He also loved building houses, reading and attending everything his grandchildren participated in.

Surviving Richard are his wife, Barbara Ray of Woodlawn; children, David Shane Boyd, Rance Jerry Campbell and Stephanie (Jones) Bice and husband Blake all of Marshall and Richard Ray, Jr and Anthony Ray both of Washington; grandchildren, Robert Shawn Boyd, Alexis Laney Boyd, Madison Kelly, J Mac Bice, Madi Bice, Kelsie Campbell and Dillon Campbell; great-grandchildren, Kelby Reece Porter and Ava Bice and one sister, Libby Flakie of Longview. He was preceded in death by his parents.
