Marshall , Texas 75672 Richard Anthony "Tony" Sperier Funeral services for Mr. Richard Anthony "Tony" Sperier, 50 of Marshall will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday March 24, 2011 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Father Denzil Vithanage and Danny Kale officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph 's Catholic Cemetery in Marshall under the direction of Downs Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary being said at 7 pm, Wednesday March 23, 2011 at the funeral home. Mr. Sperier passed away March 19, 2011 in Marshall . Richard Anthony Tony' Sperier was born June 02, 1960 in Marshall , TX to Edward Carl Sperier and Wanda Joyce Wyatt Sperier. Richard graduated from Marshall High School in 1979 and served his country in the National Guard and later in the U.S. Army for 10 years where he received his medical training and was a registered nurse. He served two tours in Germany as a medic. He was formerly employed at the Children's Hospital in Dallas . Mr. Sperier was an avid golfer and a Catholic. Surviving Richard are his father, Carl Sperier of Marshall ; one son, Jeffery Sperier of Frisco; one daughter, Aubrey Sperier of Houston ; two brothers, Edward Carl Sperier,Jr. of Longview and Todd Sperier and girlfriend Janet Gullette both of Marshall; two sisters, Karen Holloway and husband Steve and Sharon Warner both of Marshall; mother of his children, Cheryl Toussiant Sperier of Frisco and six nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Wanda Joyce Wyatt on June 11, 1991. Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Guyer, Steve Holloway, William Sperier and Mike Luraschi, David Brown and Ricky Brown.
