Graveside services for Mr. Rickey Gene Anderson, 65 of Marshall will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the Little Chapel by the Lake in Colonial Gardens Cemetery with Bro. Chad Roberts officiating. There will be a visitation at Downs Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m., Monday, September 19 th . Mr. Anderson passed away Friday, September 16, 2016 in Longview.

Rickey Gene Anderson was born May 26, 1951 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Homer Gene Anderson and Minnie Juanez Acker Anderson. He was raised in Marshall and attended Marshall High School. He went to work in the oilfield business and worked as a Consultant. On September 20, 1980, he married Betty Lucille Gallardo in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Anderson was a member of the Masonic Lodge, and became a Shriner while living in Freer, Texas. He loved to hunt and fish in his spare time, and also loved to dance.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 30 years, Betty Anderson; children, Rickey Anderson, Jr. and wife, Kimberly, and Michael Thomas; siblings, Donnie Anderson and wife, Phyllis, Cotton Anderson and wife, Evelyn, and Teresa Oney and husband, Don; grandchildren, Chelsea Thomas, Alyssa Thomas, Kimberly Thomas, William Bradley Thomas, Ashlynn Anderson, Olivia Anderson, Samantha Anderson, and Brittany Jordan; and great grandchild, Axel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Minnie Anderson, and his son, Roy Lynn Anderson.
