Funeral services for Robbin Christine Griffin, 48, of Waskom will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2013 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. David Butler officiating. Interment will follow in Colonial Gardens Cemetery. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, April 1, 2013 at Downs Funeral Home. Christine passed away March 26, 2013 in Longview. Christine was born July 31, 1964 in Wichita Falls, TX to Judy Maxine Pettigrew and Gene Edward Griffin. Christine was a country girl who loved the outdoors and especially the beautiful flowers. She loved music, dancing and walking backwards. Christine is survived by her father, Gene Griffin of Waskom; sisters, Sherrie and Mel Schocken of Waskom, Candice and Christopher Newhouse of Marshall; brothers, Gene and Ollie Griffin Jr. of Marshall, Kevin Wayne and Anne Griffin of Waskom; 5 nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts and uncles. Christine was preceded in death by her mother, Judy Griffin on May 3, 2011. Pallbearers will be Tony Griffin, Cody Griffin, Christopher Newhouse, Donny Bradford, David Buckmaster and Ben Bradford. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronny Pettigrew, Mel Schocken, Tyler Griffin and James Gross.
