A Graveside Service for Robert Lee "Bobby" Bower, 65, of Waskom will be held at 12p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2015, at Restland Cemetery in Waskom, Texas. A visitation will take place at Downs Funeral Home from 6 to 8p.m., Friday, September 18, 2015. Mr. Bower passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Robert L. Bower was born May, 29, 1950 in Frankfort, Indiana (Clinton City) to Erskine Lee Bower "Tex" and Marjorie Anna Bower. He served his country with pride in United States Air Force for 20 years before retiring from Edwards Air Force Base in California, December 7, 1991. In his free time, Robert enjoyed working in the yard, tending to flowers with his wife, Linda, being at his computer and watching John Wayne movies. Mr. Bower is preceded in death by his father, Erskine L. Bower; mother, Marjorie A. Bower and brother, George Edward Bower. He is survived by his wife, Linda C. Bower; three daughters, Roberta Lynn Wright and husband, Jimmy, of Benton, AR; Nelda Hicks and husband, Larry, of Leola, AR; Pamela Kay Bower, of Waskom, TX; stepson Daniel K. Slade and wife, Skyla, of Marshall, TX; stepdaughter, Pamela D. Moon and husband, Boyce of Minnesota; two sisters, Vickie L. Smith, of Jonesville and Patricia A. Haltom and husband, Jimmy of Waskom, TX. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson, all of whom he loved dearly.
